College of Education for Girls Holds an Educational Seminar on Sound Upbringing and Its Impact on Building the Foundations of Society
and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Prof. Dr. Afrah Abd Maktouf Al-Ghazi,
the College of Education for Girls held an educational seminar entitled “Sound Upbringing and Its Impact on Building the Foundations of Society”,
in the Discussion Hall on Sunday, 23 /11/ 2025, presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan Qasim.
The seminar addressed the concept of sound upbringing as a fundamental pillar in building the individual and shaping his moral and social structure, explaining that education is not merely a process of transferring information but an integrated system aimed at refining behaviour, consolidating values and shaping personality in harmony with the needs and aspirations of society.
The lecturer also explained that attention to moral education is a strategic investment in building a cohesive society capable of facing challenges, by strengthening the spirit of cooperation and responsibility, respect for the law, adherence to behavioural standards, and spreading the values of tolerance, justice and joint work.
The seminar concluded that sound upbringing is the cornerstone of the renaissance and progress of societies, as it contributes to preparing a generation that possesses awareness, knowledge and upright conduct, thereby laying the foundations of a prosperous and stable society built on virtuous morals and firmly rooted human values.
This seminar is part of the awareness activities held by the college to enhance students' academic and moral awareness, in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in supporting guidance and educational counselling programmes.
