The College of Education for Girls holds an awareness seminar entitled: (Periodic and Early Screening for Breast Cancer)
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah,
and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Prof. Dr. Afrah Abd Maktouf,
the Women's Affairs Unit at the College, in cooperation with the Dhi Qar Health Directorate / Al-Shatrah, held an awareness seminar entitled:
(Periodic and Early Screening for Breast Cancer), on Wednesday at ten o'clock in the morning.
Taking part in presenting the seminar were:
1- Medical Assistant Balqees Kadhim
2- Nada Jabbar Ali
3- Zahraa Abd Ali Hussein
4- Duaa Ali Kadhim
The seminar addressed multiple themes centred on the importance of early screening and its role in preventing breast cancer, in addition to the causes of the disease, risk factors, symptoms, methods of diagnosis and self-examination, as well as reviewing treatment options and psychological support for patients.
The seminar included explanatory presentations on the mechanism of self-examination and periodic screening, and awareness films were shown and educational leaflets distributed with the aim of encouraging attendees to adopt a culture of health awareness and early prevention.
