The lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – University of Shatrah, Dr. Ahmed Qasim Dawood, obtained a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Universiti Putra Malaysia for his thesis entitled:
“Comparative Evaluation of Two Oral Contraceptive Baits on Reproductive Performance, Pharmacokinetics and Reversibility in Male and Female Sprague Dawley Rats.”
During his research career, Dr. Ahmed was able to publish a number of scientific researches in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences on the impact of contraceptives on rodent reproduction and fertility. He also participated in a number of international scientific conferences in the field of veterinary pharmacology.
He was also honoured with the Top 10 Best Scientific Poster Presentation – 2025 during the 35th Annual Conference of the Malaysian Veterinary Medical Association (MAVMA).
The Deanship of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – University of Shatrah extends its congratulations to Dr. Ahmed Qassem Daoud, wishing him more success and scientific and academic tender.
