The College

The college was established in the academic year (2022-2023) as one of the first colleges of the University of Shatrah, with two scientific departments (Computer Engineering and Materials Engineering). The college awards the Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering for undergraduate study (morning and evening). The college has several specialised scientific laboratories and engineering workshops. Study was initially limited to Computer Engineering and Materials Engineering; new scientific departments were then opened, and the college is affiliated with the University of Shatrah and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Below are the most important developments the College of Engineering has witnessed from its founding to the present:

- In 2024, study began in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, with a study duration of five years.

- In 2025, the Engineering Consultancy Office was established at the College of Engineering. Its supervisory board has helped bring together the scientific, technical, practical and academic expertise of faculty members to serve the country's development plans and to provide a high level of specialised national consultancy and expertise in various sectors. Among the most important objectives and future aspirations of the office are:

* Placing the scientific, theoretical and applied capabilities of the faculty in the service of economic development plans.

* Providing scientific and applied opportunities for faculty members to ensure that modern theoretical sciences are reflected in practical and applied reality, and to enhance the expertise of faculty members, each in their own field of specialisation.

* Providing scientific and technical consultancy to the public and private sectors and to citizens at reasonable fees.

* Coordinating with similar Arab consultancy offices in the same specialisations to increase the exchange of information and expertise, and cooperating to compete with foreign consultancy offices in providing scientific and applied consultancy throughout the Arab world.

* In 2025, the name of the Department of Computer Engineering was changed to (Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence).

- In 2025, study began in the Department of Civil Engineering.
