The College of Law was established at the University of Shatrah in 2026, as part of the university's plan to widen its academic programmes and to meet the need of the labour market, institutions and government departments for legal expertise.

A specialised ministerial committee visited the university in May 2026 and reviewed the scientific, administrative and infrastructure requirements of the new college against the standards of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The college aims to prepare graduates who master the legal sciences and are able to serve society and uphold the rule of law.
